Transferring your company’s registered office

A routine, regulated procedure: decision, formalities, CBE update. Here's how it works — and how we simplify every step.

The transfer in 3 steps

1. The decision

Depending on your company form and articles of association, the decision lies with the management body or the general meeting.

2. The formalities

Publication of the change in the annexes of the Belgian Official Gazette and, where applicable, amendment of the articles. We prepare the file with you.

3. The update

Updating the registration at the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, then informing your partners: bank, VAT, insurance, clients.

Why do so many companies move their registered office to Zaventem?

A professional address approved by the FPS Economy at the gates of Brussels, mail management included, free parking and suburban tax rates: many Brussels companies do the maths. Compare for yourself Zaventem and Brussels city, or browse our guide to the registered office in Belgium.

Frequently asked questions

No. Your CBE number stays the same: only the address is updated. Your contracts, VAT and history remain unchanged.

Not always: it depends on your company form and what your articles provide. We check your situation and point you to the simplest procedure.

As soon as your address at Unita is active, we receive and process your business mail. You won't lose any official document during the change.
